Assembly woman Janet Duprey, whose grandmother was born in Ballinrobe on St. Patrick’s Day, 1881 has a long record of concern for both the education of young people and the quality of life for those in retirement.

She was elected on 7th November, 2006 to represent the, 114th Assembly District, which includes all of Clinton and Franklin Counties, NY, USA, as well as the town of St. Armand in Essex County.

Recent trip to Ireland and Ballinrobe

On a recent trip to Ireland Duprey felt that the highlight of the trip was a visit to Ballinrobe and said “That was the best part of the trip for me.”

The trip was a mix of business and pleasure.  She said she did a lot of the “touristy things” like most travellers do in Ireland, but she also met with legislators to get a glimpse of Irish politics in action.
